Lovely, PURPLE Amethyst Earrings
I was so pleasantly surprised to receive these and have such pretty, dark purple amethyst stones in them. You rather leave yourself to chance when you order gems online as they, more often than not, seem to be lighter than the picture, at least this is the experience I've had. The stones in this pair of earrings that I received are clear, dark, truly purple amethysts. The earring settings appear to be solid and are pretty as well. The only thing I could fault are the diamond chips, and I honestly wish they would just leave them out as they are never a quality that I would choose in these lower cost earrings. I deducted one star for them. I think the size is nice for attracting attention while not being too gaudy, but that is my opinion. I would guess the stones to be about 1 1/2 - 2 carats.
