Nationally renowned artist Emerson Quillin whiled away his childhood days in his mother’s beauty salon. Unbeknownst to Emerson, the beauty salon regulars would return to inspire his now celebrated whimsical characters and the famous “Quillin Script.” The idle days and his mother’s clients provided Emerson with just the right amount of inspiration needed for the creation of his cartoon characters.
