Good product for the money
Although I would prefer the bigger model, this one suits just fine for onions and cukes. Hope the blade lasts through next years pickle season.

This product performs well.
I have been wanting a Mandolin for years, but was unwilling to pay the price for a wooden model. Then I saw this Sunbeam that was affordable enough to try.
I like the way this Sunbeam Mandolin works better than the Femster I have used before. The adjustments are incorporated in the attachments and while they aren't as adjustable, they also don't change in mid-stream.
We've enjoyed hash browns made with the Julienne attachment, and great Cole slaws that include bell pepper, onions and carrots made with the fine cut.
Safety is assured by using the included "pusher" that holds the vegetables securely during operation. The carrots left a stain, but a quick spray with diluted bleach took care of the problem!
It's plastic, so quality can hardly be excellent, but it serves the purpose. Durability is unknown at this time.
