Join Boscov's as we help raise funds and awareness for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Berks County.

The Big Brothers, Big Sisters mission is to foster positive and measurable growth for at-risk youth, including a strengthened sense of self-worth, development of character, and improved relationships and performance at home, in school, and throughout the community.  This mission is accomplished through a professionally directed mentoring program utilizing carefully screened and trained volunteers.

Big Brothers, Big Sisters serves children ages 8 to 19 years.  Applications for new 'Little Brothers' or 'Little Sisters' are accepted up to and including age 15.  For more information, please visit www.bigsinberks.org.

      Stop by to learn how you can make a big difference in a child's life by volunteering to become a           'Big Brother' or 'Big Sister.'  Learn how you can get a team signed up for the Big Brothers, Big             Sisters' Bowl for Kids' Sake.  This year's Bowl for Kids' Sake dates are Saturday, April 28th and         Sunday, April 29th, 2012 at Berks Lanes in Sinking Spring, and Saturday, May 19th, 2012 at             Heister Lanes in Muhlenberg.

CELL PHONE DONATIONS
Boscov's and the 911 Cell Phone Bank have partnered to promote responsible cell phone recycling and provide emergency communications to those in need. 

Customers who have used cell phones are encouraged to drop them off at the Customer Service desk at any Boscov's location.  Collected cell phones will be sent to the 911 Cell Phone Bank for processing.  In return, the 911 Cell Phone Bank will provide law enforcement in communities served by Boscov's with free emergency cell phones for seniors and victims of abuse.

About 911 Cell Phone Bank:
The 911 Cell Phone bank is an initiative of The Charitable Recycling Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  It was created to provide an ongoing and readily available source of emergency cell phones to meet unexpected and urgent needs of vulnerable residents in communities nationwide.  Since its inception, the 911 Cell Phone Bank has generated more than 80,000 emergency cell phones for victim services organizations nationwide.
