CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Clothing & Personal Care Item Drive, Food Drive
Boscov’s North, East and Berkshire
Boscov’s will host “Christmas in July”, a clothing, personal care item and food drive, throughout July 2015. The event will help collect non-perishable food items for the Greater Reading Food Bank and Exeter Area Food Pantry. Clothing and personal care items will be collected for local area Veterans.
Summer is an important time as children will be out of school so extra food is needed for at home meal preparation & snacks for these children. Everyone is invited to help out those in need by dropping off non-perishable canned or boxed goods. The Food Drive will continue throughout the month of July, 2015. Our goal is to make sure that no one goes hungry this summer season.
Customers will also have a chance to donate clothing and personal items. Items in need are: Men’s and Women’s NEW clothing such as underwear, socks and t-shirts. NEW personal care items such as body wash, deodorant, insect repellent, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving cream and razors are also being collected. Drop off boxes will be located in the lobby area and the Courtesy Desk areas. Veterans Making a Difference, a local area non-profit, will deliver the items to Veterans once the drive is complete.
For our Troops
Holiday Card Drive
Join Boscov’s in showing your support to the men and women overseas this holiday season!
How can you show your support? We invite you to drop-off a holiday greeting card at Boscov’s Courtesy Desk that can be distributed to any soldier overseas. Please do not specify a soldier’s name on the envelope or card. Our goal is to make sure that every soldier receives warm wishes for the holiday season. All greeting cards need to be dropped off at Boscov’s Courtesy Desk by August 31, 2015.
Holiday Greeting Card Craft Table
Create your own Holiday card for our Troops in the Children’s Department each Saturday during the month of July.
CELL PHONE DONATIONS
Boscov's and the 911 Cell Phone Bank have partnered to promote responsible cell phone recycling and provide emergency communications to those in need.
Customers who have used cell phones are encouraged to drop them off at the Customer Service desk at any Boscov's location. Collected cell phones will be sent to the 911 Cell Phone Bank for processing. In return, the 911 Cell Phone Bank will provide law enforcement in communities served by Boscov's with free emergency cell phones for seniors and victims of abuse.
OF COURSES Do you
have a hobby, talent or information you'd like to share?
Boscov's is looking for talented people who would like to teach their own special talent, hobby or share knowledge with others during our Campus of Courses program. You need not be a professional instructor, but you must be able to communicate well with others to share with them your own particular skill. We have openings in all course areas including calligraphy, languages, cake decorating, arts & crafts, needlework, financial planning, health & fitness, interior decorating and anything and everything others might enjoy learning. Class schedules are being created for early 2015. Morning, afternoon and evening schedules are available.
Interested? Please call Nicole English, Boscov's Public Relations Manager at (610) 370 -3704.
