Boscov’s Invites you to be a part of
Friends Helping Friends

To earn money for your organization in a simple and quick way.  All organizations are welcome as long as you hold a 501c or 170c1 status.

Friends Helping Friends is a day to enjoy great shopping, super savings, refreshments, door prizes and the chance for people to support their favorite non-profit organization.

Discount Shopping Passes to Friends Helping Friends will be available only from participating non-profit organizations.  Each participating non-profit organization will have the opportunity to sell for $5, a 25% * discount shopping pass to the event; event date at all Boscov's department stores Tuesday October 20, 2015. . 

100% of the ticket money will go to the selling organization.

All ticket holders will have a chance to win one of three $500 shopping sprees
In addition each store will give away a $100 Shopping Spree

The Reading-Berks Rose Society invites all area rose growers to enter the Annual Rose Show. 

Members of the Rose Society, Garden Clubs and Amateur Growers will compete in many categories for ribbons and trophies.  The Reading-Berks Rose Society is affiliated with the American Rose Society, under whose rules all exhibits are judged.  The Society’s objective is to sponsor public exhibitions of roses, to educate the public and the society functions solely as a non-profit organization. 

To enter, bring your roses to the Auditorium at Boscov’s North between 8 AM and 11 AM on Sunday, June 21st A preparation area inside the Auditorium is available.  Roses must be properly named to be entered in the show.  No entry fee is required.  Trophies and ribbons will be awarded in all classes including Queen, King and Princess of the Show.

CELL PHONE DONATIONS

Boscov's and the 911 Cell Phone Bank have partnered to promote responsible cell phone recycling and provide emergency communications to those in need. 

Customers who have used cell phones are encouraged to drop them off at the Customer Service desk at any Boscov's location.  Collected cell phones will be sent to the 911 Cell Phone Bank for processing.  In return, the 911 Cell Phone Bank will provide law enforcement in communities served by Boscov's with free emergency cell phones for seniors and victims of abuse.

About 911 Cell Phone Bank:
The 911 Cell Phone bank is an initiative of The Charitable Recycling Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  It was created to provide an ongoing and readily available source of emergency cell phones to meet unexpected and urgent needs of vulnerable residents in communities nationwide.  Since its inception, the 911 Cell Phone Bank has generated more than 80,000 emergency cell phones for victim services organizations nationwide.

Join the faculty of Boscov's Campus of Courses in Reading Fairgrounds or East Malls ...

Boscov's is looking for talented people who would like to teach their own special talent, hobby or share knowledge with others during our Campus of Courses program.  You need not be a professional instructor, but you must be able to communicate well with others to share with them your own particular skill.  We have openings in all course areas including calligraphy, languages, cake decorating, arts & crafts, needlework, financial planning, health & fitness, interior decorating and anything and everything others might enjoy learning.  Class schedules are being created for early 2015.  Morning, afternoon and evening schedules are available.
