Giveaway Sweepstakes Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR LIKELIHOOD OF WINNING.
NOTICE REGARDING DISPUTE RESOLUTION: These Official Rules contain terms that govern how claims between you and Sponsor (Boscov’s Department Store, LLC), relating to your participation this Sweepstakes, will be resolved. For example, Section 12 includes an arbitration agreement and waiver of a class action that requires you to submit all claims to arbitration (instead of going to court before a judge and jury) and limits your ability to bring claims only in an individual capacity (and not as part of or on behalf of any a class action or purported collective or representative claim or proceeding).
1. Two (2) potential winners will be selected at random. The prize(s) as described below:
Prize 1 – A Disney World Vacation for 4 People (Value $6,000)
Round Trip Transportation from any of the 48 contiguous states
4 Nights hotel accommodations (one room) at a Value Disney Resort Hotel property (including state & hotel taxes)
Round-trip airport hotels transfers to Disney Hotel
Five-day Walt Disney World Park Hopper tickets (2 adults, 2 children)
Travel arrangements must be made through Boscov’s Travel. Prize not redeemable for cash or cash equivalent. No substitutions. Space subject to availability at time of booking, blackout dates apply. At least one of the winners must be 25 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license. Optional insurance fees must be paid by the prize winner prior to departure. Travel must be completed by 12/31/2025.
Prize 2 - $1,000 Shopping Spree
2. TIMING: The Giveaway ("Sweepstakes") begins on 1/2/2025 at 9:00:00 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) and ends on 2/2/2025 at 6:00:00 P.M. EDT, (the "Sweepstakes Period"). Entries submitted before or after the Sweepstakes Period will be disqualified. Registration, as described below, is subject to regular store hours. Prize drawing, as described below, will occur on 2/10/2025 at Sponsor’s offices. Winner announcement is subject to verification and certification as described below. Winner announcement scheduled on or about 2/15/2025.
3. WINNER LIST: Winner will be posted in Sponsor’s stores and will be available by mail-in request. For a copy of the winner list, send self-addressed, properly stamped envelope to Boscov’s Department Store, LLC., 4500 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606, ATTN: Giveaway Sweepstakes Winner List.
4. SPONSOR:The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Boscov’s Department Store, LLC. 4500 Perkiomen Avenue, Reading, PA 19606 ("Sponsor").
5. AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize in this Sweepstakes is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
6. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of CT, DE, MD, NY, OH, PA, RI, or WV, who are 25 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees or contractors of Sponsor and its respective subsidiaries, affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies ("Released Parties"), and the immediate family members (parents, siblings) of, and any person domiciled with, any such employees or contractors, are not eligible to enter or win. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
7. HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE SWEEPSTAKE:
A. Visit any participating Boscov’s Department Store during regular business hours during the Sweepstakes Period and locate the in-store entry signage. Register by (1) scanning an in-store Sweepstakes QR code using a mobile device and completing the Sweepstake form in full on the linking mobile Web page; or (2) completing an entry form in full available at the participating Boscov’s store location.
B. Online, (1) click on the link within a Boscov’s digital campaign. (2) complete the sweepstakes form in full.
LIMIT: ONE (1) registration per person, email address, mobile phone number, or household regardless of method of entry. An eligible person who registers in accordance with these Official Rules ("Registrant") will be credited with one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes.
8. BONUS ENTRIES: Registrants may earn up to Forty (40) additional bonus entries.
a. With Purchase using the Boscov’s Credit Card to earn four (4) Bonus Entries – During Sweepstakes Period, make a single purchase of $10 or more using your Boscov’s Credit Card. Purchases include in-stock items only. Taxes and delivery charges do not count toward the $10 purchase requirement.
b. Required Registration – Registration is required for entry into the Sweepstakes. All Bonus Entries will be associated with a Registrant’s registration information. No Bonus Entries will be applied absent an associated registration.
9. PRIZE DRAWING: On 2/10/2025, Sponsor will conduct a random drawing among all eligible entries received at Sponsor’s offices. The odds of being drawn depend on the number of eligible entries received.
10. POTENTIAL WINNER VERIFICATION: The Registrant who was drawn as the potential winner of the Sweepstakes prize will be contacted using the information on his/her registration form. A potential winner must prove eligibility, including, without limitation, proof of age and residence. Each potential winner must sign within 5 DAYS of receipt of the following documents (collectively, the "Releases") from Sponsor: (a) an affidavit of eligibility and release (including a name, image, likeness release) releasing the Released Parties and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and members from any and all liability, loss, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft, loss, or any other harm suffered in connection with the Sweepstakes or the use/misuse or acceptance of the prize or any portion thereof; and (b) except where prohibited by law, a promotional release granting Released Parties the right to use his/her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation; and (c) any other documentation required by Sponsor, including tax-related forms, and potential winner’s social security number or local equivalent for tax purposes. Entry into this Sweepstakes constitutes Entrant’s agreement to sign such Releases. Each potential winner shall be responsible for obtaining and returning signed copies of the Releases within the allotted timeframe. Failure to return all such Releases and to comply with deadlines, noncompliance with these Official Rules or the return of any prize or prize notification will result in disqualification and, in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, selection of an alternate potential winner. Upon receipt and acceptance by Sponsor of all requested Releases from a potential winner, Sponsor shall deem such potential winner as an official Sweepstakes winner ("Winner").
11. GENERAL TERMS: No cash or other prize substitution is permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Winner is solely responsible for any and all taxes due on the prize. Prize winners will receive a Form MISC-1099 for the value of prize. Acceptance of a prize grants the Sponsor permission to use the winner(s) entry, name, and likeness for advertising, promotion, and trade without further compensation or remuneration unless prohibited by law. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by a technology/system virus, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize based on the entries received before the termination date. Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries, or for failure to receive entries or other electronic communications due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or Sponsor. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Sweepstakes.
12. DISPUTES: ALL DISPUTES, ACTIONS, AND CLAIMS RELATING IN ANY WAY TO OR ARISING OUT OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND/OR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES (COLLECTIVELY "CLAIMS") WILL BE GOVERNED BY THE FEDERAL ARBITRATION ACT, FEDERAL ARBITRATION LAW, AND LAWS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, WITHOUT REGARD TO CHOICE-OF-LAW PRINCIPLES. ALL CLAIMS WILL BE RESOLVED BY BINDING ARBITRATION, EXCEPT THAT YOU MAY ASSERT CLAIMS IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT IF YOUR CLAIMS QUALIFY. THE ARBITRATOR SHALL NOT CONSOLIDATE MORE THAN ONE USER’S CLAIMS, AND MAY NOT OTHERWISE PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF A REPRESENTATIVE, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL OR CLASS PROCEEDING. YOU ARE GIVING UP THE RIGHT TO LITIGATE ALL CLAIMS IN COURT BEFORE A JUDGE OR JURY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT ACT AS A REPRESENTATIVE OR A PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL, OR IN ANY OTHER REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY, OR PARTICIPATE AS A MEMBER OF A CLASS OF CLAIMANTS AGAINST STAGE IN ANY COURT, OR IN ARBITRATION, WITH RESPECT TO ANY CLAIMS. YOUR CLAIMS SHALL NOT BE JOINED TO ANY OTHER ARBITRATION OR DISPUTE INVOLVING ANY OTHER PARTY SUBJECT TO THESE TERMS, AND NO CLASS ARBITRATION PROCEEDINGS SHALL BE PERMITTED.
13. CONSTRUCTION: The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
14. PRIVACY: Participation in the Sweepstakes is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy located at https://www.boscovs.com/privacy-policy.
